Today, while surfing around on NamePros.com, I came across a post by silveraden, owner of MySEOBLog.net The post was entitled “Lists of dofollow blogs, dofollow forums, wordpress free themes, and more“. It’s not much of a read, but the links he left are GREAT to have, and can prove to be very useful to anyone looking to increase their search engine ranking using backlinks.
DoFollow links are links that search engines can read, and “follow”. Other links that don’t have dofollow enabled, the search engines can’t read and will ignore them, therefor not being indexed by the search engine spiders. So, the link above will help you to optimize your forum posting and increase your search engine results!
The link I find most useful is #2, “List of “Dofollow” Forums with “Dofollow” Signatures“. If you’re anything like me, you like to browse many different forums on one subject. Since I’m into web hosting, design, and domains, I tend to frequent many different forums with topics related to those. Posting offers, or replying to requests from potential customers, on different forums will not only help to increase your sales and traffic, but it also helps to increase your search engine ranking and Google PR. The catch is, you have to know which forums to post on, some will help and some will not, it depends on whether or not the forum allows “DoFollow Links” or not.
Another option to use when trying to increase your backlinks is to post on blogs that allow dofollow links. Some blog owners get angry if you post on their blog, they see it as spamming, so don’t post on just any blog. Instead, use silveradens list of blogs that allow you to post and have dofollow links enabled so that you’re not just wasteing your time posting on a blog that isn’t going to help you, and that will anger the owner!
